Basketball Recap: Anna Skates Past Sherman with Ease

Anna won the last time they faced Sherman and things went their way on Friday too. The Anna Coyotes blew past the Sherman Bearcats, posting a 69-33 win. Given the Coyotes' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 119th, while the Bearcats are ranked 1012th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Anna is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.9 points per game. As for Sherman, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-17.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Anna will challenge Walnut Grove at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sherman, they will take on Denison at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
