Volleyball Recap: Lexi Rippe and Maria Ising Secure Win for Morgan Township

Morgan Township barely beat South Central the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Cherokees were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Satellites on Wednesday. The victory continues a trend for the Cherokees in their matchups with the Satellites: they've now won three in a row.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-12, 25-19.

Morgan Township was led to victory by Maria Ising and Lexi Rippe. Ising had ten digs and four aces, while Rippe had 13 digs and four assists. That's the most digs Rippe has posted over her last eight games. Madison Gelon also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

They weren't the only good server: Morgan Township was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as South Central only served three aces.

Morgan Township's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for South Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Morgan Township will head out to face off against Tri-Township at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for South Central, they will square off against Elkhart Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
