Basketball Recap: Hill Country Christian School of Austin Takes a Loss

After flying high against St. Andrew's on Friday, Hill Country Christian School of Austin came back down to earth. The Knights took a 50-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Live Oak Classical Falcons on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Knights of the 47-34 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2016.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Live Oak Classical to victory, but perhaps none more so than Audrey Pahmiyer, who posted 14 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. Pahmiyer has been hot for a while, having also posted three or more steals the last 18 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Ashlyn Helton, who went 5-for-8 on her way to 11 points and seven boards.

Hill Country Christian School of Austin's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Live Oak Classical, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.

Hill Country Christian School of Austin has already played their next game, a 54-49 win against Hyde Park on the 6th. As for Live Oak Classical, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 65-47 loss against Lake Country Christian on the 6th.
