Softball Recap: Concord Takes a Loss

NorthWood hit Concord with a eight-run seventh inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Minutemen took an 11-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers. The Minutemen were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Panthers earlier this season, when they won 13-9.

Cassi Reames made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and fired off two home runs, three RBI, and one stolen base while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Laela Moore, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Concord and nudges their season record down to 8-7. As for NorthWood, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season.
