Softball Recap: Make It Nine in a Row for Griffith

It's playoff time, and Griffith had no trouble coming through when it counted. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Hammond Bishop Noll Warriors on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won 16 contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

Brylie Bridges was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 13 over six innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Natalie Vianello, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Elena Rivas, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

The win (which was Griffith's ninth in a row) raised their record to 25-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.4 runs on average over those games. As for Hammond Bishop Noll, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-16 record this season.

As of now, neither Griffith nor Hammond Bishop Noll have any future games scheduled.
