Basketball Game Preview: Vanguard Panthers vs. Liberty Chargers

Two dominant guards in Turral Berry and Lamar Lee are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Vanguard Panthers will face off against the Liberty Chargers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Vanguard is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 65.6 points per game this season.

Last Tuesday, Vanguard beat New Dimensions 82-71.

Vanguard's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Berry, who posted 29 points in addition to five boards and four steals. Berry's evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brian Glover, who put up 24 points along with five rebounds and five steals.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Liberty, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They blew past North Kissimmee Christian 88-61 on Wednesday. The Chargers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 20 points or more this season.

Liberty's victory bumped their record up to 12-4. As for Vanguard, their win bumped their record up to 7-10.
