Basketball Recap: Ridgewood's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak on the Road

If Ridgewood was riding high fresh off their 71-48 takedown of Leyden last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Ridgewood Rebels lost to the Riverside-Brookfield Bulldogs on the road by a 65-51 margin on Tuesday. The Rebels have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Ridgewood's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-6. As for Riverside-Brookfield, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ridgewood will head out to take on Glenbard South at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Riverside-Brookfield, they will head out on the road to square off against West Chicago at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Riverside-Brookfield knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully West Chicago likes a good challenge.
