Softball Game Preview: Madison Comprehensive Rams vs. Dover Crimson Tornadoes

For the second straight game, Madison Comprehensive will face off against Dover. The Rams will venture away from home to square off against the Crimson Tornadoes at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Madison Comprehensive has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with six straight defeats, while Dover will come in with 33 straight wins.

Monday just wasn't the day for Madison Comprehensive's offense. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Dover on Monday. The shutout was out of character for the Rams seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in March.

For Dover's part, they got a great performance from Kara Lint as she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 16 over 6.2 innings pitched. Lint has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 12 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Sophie Bantum, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. Alli Hupp was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Madison Comprehensive's loss dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Dover, their victory bumped their record up to 21-0.
