Volleyball Recap: Whitney Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Whitney can now relate to. They lost 3-0 to the Del Oro Golden Eagles on Tuesday. The Wildcats have struggled against the Golden Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Kale Cochran paced Whitney's offense, picking up 13 kills. Cochran got some help from Martin Lim and his 15 assists. Finally, Cochran was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Whitney's loss dropped their record down to 16-20. As for Del Oro, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 22-13.

Whitney does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Del Oro, they will challenge West Park at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Golden Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
