Softball Recap: Harpursville Hornets vs. Bainbridge-Guilford Bobcats

Harpursville extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to nine on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 0-5 in the process. They came up short against the Bainbridge-Guilford Bobcats, falling 13-4. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hornets of the 27-11 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.

As for Bainbridge-Guilford, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games.

For Bainbridge-Guilford's part, Kate Baciuska made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off one hit.
