Basketball Recap: Jack Sullivan Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Churchill

After losing to Churchill the last time they met, Wootton decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Wootton Patriots came out on top in a nail-biter against the Churchill Bulldogs on Tuesday, sneaking past 54-51.

Wootton's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jack Sullivan, who posted nine points. Brian Ngouzo was another key player, putting up seven points and 11 rebounds.

Wootton smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in four consecutive games.

Wootton's victory bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Churchill, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 12 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season.

Wootton will square off against Walter Johnson at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Churchill, they will face off against Whitman at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Whitman's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last nine contests.
