Softball Recap: Randolph School Raiders vs. Athens Bible Trojans
After flying high against Asbury on Friday, Randolph School came back down to earth. The Raiders fell just short of the Athens Bible Trojans by a score of 3-1 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Raiders have suffered since April 26, 2024.
Julianne Jones put in work while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. Jones was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
Randolph School dropped their record down to 3-9 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Athens Bible, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Randolph School will take on Brindlee Mountain in a tournament on Saturday. As for Athens Bible, they will be taking part in a tournament against Kate Duncan Smith DAR at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.
