Basketball Recap: Olivia Ferguson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Stafford over Colonial Forge

Stafford lost against Colonial Forge back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Stafford Indians fell 54-47 to the Colonial Forge Eagles.

Several Indians players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Olivia Ferguson, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 11 boards. Ferguson is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last 16 games she's played. Sanaa Jenkins was another key player, dropping a double-double with 13 points and 11 boards.

Even though they lost, Stafford smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in ten consecutive matchups.

Stafford's defeat dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Colonial Forge, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-6.

As of now, neither Stafford nor Colonial Forge have any future games scheduled.
