Baseball Recap: Wonderful College Prep Academy Comes Up Short

Wonderful College Prep Academy had lost three straight on the road, but on Monday they dropped their record down to 5-11 to make it four. They lost 7-0 to the Corcoran Panthers. The Wolves were not able to make up for their defeat to the Panthers from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

As for Corcoran, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-4. Considering they have won 12 contests by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

For Corcoran's part, Ethan Chavez was excellent, going 1-for-3 with four stolen bases and two runs. Those four stolen bases gave Chavez a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Blake Cabral, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Looking ahead, Wonderful College Prep Academy will head out to take on Kings Christian at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Corcoran, they will challenge Granite Hills at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
