Softball Recap: St. Charles vs. Leonardtown Raiders

If St. Charles was feeling good off their 14-4 takedown of Thomas Stone last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. St. Charles wound up on the wrong side of a tough 20-3 walloping at the hands of the Leonardtown Raiders on Monday. St. Charles has struggled against Leonardtown recently, as their game on Monday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

For Leonardtown's part, Ashley Watson made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. Watson was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring four runs and stealing two bases while going 4-for-4.

In other batting news, Leonardtown let Lindsay Hunter and Kendall Wathen loose on the outfield.
