Basketball Recap: Fluvanna County Takes a Loss

Fluvanna County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 62-37 to the Western Albemarle Warriors. While losing is never fun, the Flying Flucos can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 231st, while the Warriors are ranked 41st).

Fluvanna County's loss dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Western Albemarle, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 15-4.

Fluvanna County won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Albemarle at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Albemarle has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 200 points over their last three games. As for Western Albemarle, they will also get right back to it: they'll square off against Orange County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Western Albemarle knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Orange County likes a good challenge.
