Football Game Preview: Gaston Greyhounds vs. Neah-Kah-Nie Pirates + How To Watch

Gaston and Neah-Kah-Nie are an even 3-3 against one another since October of 2016, but not for long. The Greyhounds will host the Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Gaston has given up an average of 28.2 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Gaston managed to keep up with Clatskanie until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Greyhounds came up short against the Tigers, falling 43-19. The Greyhounds have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Neah-Kah-Nie). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Vernonia 53-6. The high-scoring effort was just what the Pirates needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Neah-Kah-Nie's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Gaston, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Everything came up roses for Gaston against Neah-Kah-Nie when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 40-6 win. Do the Greyhounds have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Pirates turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
