Basketball Game Preview: Centaurus Warriors vs. Pomona Panthers + How To Watch

The Centaurus Warriors will be taking part in a tournament against the Pomona Panthers at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Centaurus has three straight victories, Pomona has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Centaurus is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Northridge: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Warriors blew the Grizzlies out of the water with a 49-12 final score. The Warriors pushed the score to 38-10 by the end of the third, a deficit the Grizzlies had little chance of recovering from.

Nick Jones was nothing short of spectacular: he went 6-for-7 to rack up 16 points in addition to five rebounds and three blocks. That's the most points he has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Garren Solis, who shot 67% from the field on his way to 13 points and five boards.

Meanwhile, Pomona came up short against Thornton on Saturday, falling 65-39.

Centaurus' win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Pomona, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Centaurus didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Pomona in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 68-64 victory.
