Football Game Preview: Konawaena vs. Kealakehe

Konawaena will look to defend their home turf on Saturday against Kealakehe at 7:30 PM. Konawaena have seen their point totals decreasing over the past three games, a vulnerability Kealakehe are surely hoping to exploit.

Konawaena came into their this week averaging 32 points per game, but Konawaena fell well short of that average, and it cost them. They suffered a grim 0-25 defeat to Hilo last Friday. The state rankings had actually given Konawaena a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more.

Meanwhile, Kealakehe might be getting used to good results now that the team has three wins in a row. Everything came up roses for them against Hawaii Prep as the team secured a 38-0 victory. The lopsided score is just par for the course this season for Kealakehe, who can brag about four blowout wins.

Konawaena took their matchup against Kealakehe the last time the two teams met by a conclusive 46-16 score. Will Konawaena repeat their success, or does Kealakehe have a better game plan this time around ? We'll find out soon enough.
