Baseball Preview: Whitmire Wolverines vs. Greenwood Christian Hawks
The Whitmire Wolverines will head out on the road to face off against the Greenwood Christian Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Whitmire is no doubt hoping to put an end to an 11-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
After soaring to 15 runs the game before, Whitmire was a bit more limited in their match on Wednesday. Their tough 16-1 defeat to Newberry might stick with them for a while.
Whitmire saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Peyton Jones, who went 1-for-2 with an RBI.
Even though they lost, Whitmire hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That's the most strikeouts they've managed all season.

Whitmire's loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Greenwood Christian, their record now sits at 8-6-1.
