Softball Game Preview: Parkside Rams vs. Kent Island Buccaneers

The Parkside Rams will head out on the road to face off against the Kent Island Buccaneers at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Kent Island took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Parkside, who comes in off a win.

On Monday, Parkside beat Bennett 10-7. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Clippers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Kent Island lost 18-9 to Queen Anne's County on Monday. The Buccaneers haven't had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Abby Mahaffey made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That home run marked the first that she launched this season.

Kent Island's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Parkside, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Parkside couldn't quite get it done against Kent Island when the teams last played back in April of 2024 as they fell 10-7. Can Parkside avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
