Basketball Recap: St. Petersburg Catholic Takes a Loss

St. Petersburg Catholic won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They were beaten by the Shorecrest Prep Chargers 80-37. The match marked the Barons' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

It was another big night for Nickolas Bearden, who posted 40 points for Shorecrest Prep. The contest was Bearden's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ahmad Crumity, who had 15 points.

St. Petersburg Catholic now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Shorecrest Prep, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-1.

St. Petersburg Catholic is taking a road trip to square off against Patel at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Shorecrest Prep, they will welcome Calvary Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
