Basketball Game Preview: Camanche Indians vs. Northeast Rebels

Camanche is 2-8 against Northeast since December of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Camanche Indians are taking a road trip to challenge the Northeast Rebels at 6:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Last Tuesday, Camanche took a blow against Maquoketa, falling 60-22. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 185th, while the Cardinals are ranked 18th).

Meanwhile, Northeast was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 56-27 loss at the hands of Monticello.

Camanche's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Northeast, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.

Camanche was taken down by Northeast 56-29 in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. Can Camanche avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
