Softball Recap: Northland Pines Eagles vs. Medford Raiders
Northland Pines had lost 12 straight at home dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped their record down to 0-18 to make it 13. They came up short against the Medford Raiders, falling 18-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-0 back in April.
As for Medford, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-6. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games.
For Medford's part, they let Finley Arndt and Chelsea Gebauer run wild. Arndt got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple, while Gebauer went 2-for-4 with four runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
