Basketball Game Preview: Homestead Mustangs vs. Lynbrook Vikings

Homestead and Lynbrook are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2017, but not for long. The Homestead Mustangs will host the Lynbrook Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Homestead is coming into the game hot, having won their last eight games.

Homestead is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Cupertino: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Homestead blew Cupertino out of the water with a 52-9 final score. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Lynbrook unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 38-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of Saratoga. Having soared to a lofty 59 points in the game before, the Vikings couldn't push the score so high this time.

Lynbrook's defeat dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Homestead, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season.

Homestead beat Lynbrook 59-52 in their previous matchup back in January. Does Homestead have another victory up their sleeve, or will Lynbrook turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
