Basketball Recap: Frederick Gets the Win

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Frederick walked away with it. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 56-53 win over the Crescent Tigers on Friday.

Crescent's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aja Adams-House, who posted 12 points in addition to eight boards and five steals. Adams-House has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. Rylee Alexander was another key player, going 6-for-12 en route to 17 points.

Frederick's victory bumped their record up to 6-18. As for Crescent, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-21 record this season.

As of now, neither Frederick nor Crescent have any future games scheduled.
