The Cobleskill-Richmondville Bulldogs will venture away from home to challenge the Mayfield Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Cobleskill-Richmondville took Mekeel Christian Academy into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking five-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-20, 21-25, 25-16, 15-10.

Meanwhile, Mayfield lost 3-0 to Galway on Tuesday.

While Mayfield was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Galway's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-9, 25-12, 25-13.

Mayfield has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9-3 record this season. As for Cobleskill-Richmondville, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Cobleskill-Richmondville couldn't quite get it done against Mayfield in their previous meeting back in October of 2015 as they fell 2-0. Can the Bulldogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
