McClatchy takes loss despite strong efforts from Vincent Seyford and Kendall Andrews

Recap: McClatchy Lions vs. Tokay Tigers

This season hasn't been kind to the McClatchy Lions, who are still winless after their fourth game. They took a 71-64 hit to the loss column at the hands of Tokay on Saturday. McClatchy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Tokay apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2016.

McClatchy's loss came despite strong showings from Kendall Andrews and Vincent Seyford. Andrews scored 23 points along with nine rebounds, while Seyford scored 22 points along with three steals. Those three steals set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Eugene Castillo, who scored five points.

Even though they lost, McClatchy were working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

McClatchy's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Tokay, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

McClatchy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Center at 4:00 p.m. on December 7th. Center has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Tokay, they will be playing at home against Livermore at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
