Basketball Recap: Eastern Greene Thunderbirds vs. Edgewood Mustangs

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last five times Eastern Greene and Edgewood have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Thursday. The Eastern Greene Thunderbirds took a 50-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Edgewood Mustangs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Thunderbirds of the 65-45 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Despite the loss, Eastern Greene saw an underclassman step up: freshman Kyan Hudson shot 53% from the field on his way to 21 points. Coby Sykes was another key player, putting up eight points and seven boards.
