Baseball Recap: Waterbury Career Academy Takes a Loss

Waterbury Career Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against the Crosby Bulldogs, falling 20-6. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-0 back in April.

Yoaldi Almonte-Brito made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with four stolen bases and one run. Armani Oliveras was another key player, earning one RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Waterbury Career Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Crosby, their victory ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-9.

As of now, neither Waterbury Career Academy nor the Bulldogs have any future games scheduled.
