Basketball Recap: Moorcroft Comes Up Short

If Moorcroft was feeling good fresh off their 73-9 takedown of Newell last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Moorcroft Wolves had to suffer through a 71-42 loss at the hands of the New Underwood Tigers. The Wolves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2021.

It was another big night for Sam Enos, who went 6 for 7 en route to 20 points and six steals for New Underwood. Those 20 points gave Enos a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Zach Henriksen, who went 5 of 11 on his way to 14 points along with seven rebounds and four steals.

Moorcroft's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for New Underwood, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Moorcroft didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 65-31 defeat against Hot Springs on the 18th. As for New Underwood, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 63-47 loss against Upton on the 18th.
