Robert C. Byrd's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They blew past the Keyser Golden Tornado 8-2. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won nine matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Ashton Shaffer was incredible, firing off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-4. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April. James Barnett also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Robert C. Byrd was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. They are a perfect 8-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Robert C. Byrd's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-10. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Keyser, their record now sits at 7-19-1.
