Basketball Recap: Rensselaer Takes a Loss

Rensselaer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Hudson Bluehawks and fell 71-39. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 524th, while the Bluehawks are ranked 109th).

Keith Robinson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Hudson, going 13 of 19 on his way to 33 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. Robinson's evening made it eight games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Juwan Morrison, who posted eight points in addition to eight rebounds and five assists.

Rensselaer's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Hudson, the win keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rensselaer will square off against Taconic Hills at 6:30 p.m. on January 14th. As for Hudson, they will challenge Coxsackie-Athens at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.
