Softball Game Preview: Nueva Esperanza vs. Masterman

Nueva Esperanza will venture away from home to face off against Masterman at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Nueva Esperanza knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Masterman likes a good challenge.

Nueva Esperanza is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 21-9 margin over Thomas A. Edison on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Masterman lost 15-9 to Carver High School of Engineering & Science on Thursday.

Nueva Esperanza's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2-1. As for Masterman, they dropped their record down to 1-3 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Nueva Esperanza beat Masterman 14-10 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Nueva Esperanza since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
