Basketball Recap: Make It Nine in a Row for Central

Central extended their winning streak to nine games thanks to a huge performance from Jabria Lindsey. The Central Red Devils blew past the Newnan Cougars 55-23 on Wednesday thanks in part to Lindsey, who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine assists. Her afternoon made it 16 games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Gabrielle Walker, who posted four points and nine rebounds. Those nine boards gave her a new career-high.

Central pushed their record up to 11-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Newnan, they now have a losing record at 5-6.

Central will take on Helena in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Newnan, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Heard County at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
