It was a good run, but Plainview unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 61-48 to the Ider Hornets. The Bears were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Hornets earlier this season, when they won 55-44.

Plainview's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 20-6. As for Ider, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 19-4.

Plainview and Ider should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings. Plainview will challenge North Jackson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday up 111 places (16 vs. 127). Plainview will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. Similarly, Ider (ranked 36th) will meet Valley Head (ranked 408th) at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
