Basketball Preview: Union Cougars vs. Ogden Tigers
The Union Cougars will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against the Ogden Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on February 6th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Utah (Union is ranked 98th, while the Tigers are ranked 111th).
Last Thursday, Union came up short against the Trojans and fell 58-45. Union has not had much luck with the Trojans recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Meanwhile, Ogden had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They enjoyed a cozy 44-30 win over Ben Lomond on Thursday. The victory was just what Ogden needed coming off of a 65-41 defeat in their prior contest.
Union has not been sharp recently as the team's lost three of their last four contests, which is still a better percentage than their 5-16 record this season. As for Ogden, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-15.
Everything went Union's way against the Tigers when the teams last played back in January as the Cougars made off with a 58-38 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Union since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
