While losing is never fun, St. Paul Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 360th, while St. Louis Park is ranked 170th).
St. Paul Central lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Sasha Ickes, who scored 16 points. Regina Williams was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
St. Paul Central dropped their record down to 4-15 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home. As for St. Louis Park, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-13.
St. Paul Central will face off against Columbia Heights at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for St. Louis Park, they will be playing at home against Waconia at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
