Volleyball Recap: Miramonte's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

There's no place like home for Miramonte, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They came out on top against the Concord Bears by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Matadors as it spelled an end to their 13-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Miramonte had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 19-25, 25-22, 25-22, 26-24.

Miramonte's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Concord, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

Looking ahead, Miramonte will head out on the road to face off against Alhambra at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Alhambra will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Miramonte surely won't give up without a fight. As for Concord, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Las Lomas at 6:00 p.m.
