Recap: Sequatchie County Indians vs. Sale Creek Panthers
The Sequatchie County Indians entered their tilt with the Sale Creek Panthers with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Sequatchie County walked away with a 47-35 win over Sale Creek on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Sequatchie County also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Sequatchie County's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Beckham Mckendrick, who scored 27 points along with eight rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mckendrick has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Ryker Terry, who scored 12 points along with nine rebounds and five steals.
Sequatchie County's victory bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Sale Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 11-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sequatchie County will take on Bledsoe County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Bledsoe County's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three games. As for Sale Creek, they will play host again and welcome Rhea County, where tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Rhea County presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Sale Creek in Tennessee (Rhea County is ranked 85th, while Sale Creek is ranked 265th).
