Softball Recap: Bear River Bruins vs. Mira Loma Matadors
Bear River got themselves on the board against Mira Loma on Friday, but Mira Loma never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Matadors with a sharp 15-0 victory. The Bruins might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by eight runs or more this season.
Taryn Cleek made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Those eight strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances.

In other batting news, Ella Northup was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Macy Martin was another key player, scoring four runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.
Bear River kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
