Basketball Recap: Pisgah's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

While it was all tied up 36-36 at halftime, Pisgah was not quite Charlotte Country Day School's equal in the second half on Saturday. They took a 76-72 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Buccaneers. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (64), the Bears still had to take the loss.

Nolan Lowery was his usual excellent self, going 9-for-14 to rack up 22 points along with seven boards and three steals for Charlotte Country Day School. Lowery has become a key player for the Buccaneers: the team is undefeated when he posts at least 15 points, but 0-4 otherwise. Philip Brosseau was another key player, as he made all 5 shots he took racking up 14 points.

Having lost for the first time this season, Pisgah fell to 2-1. As for Charlotte Country Day School, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pisgah will square off against North Buncombe at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Charlotte Country Day School, they will face off against St. Joseph's Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
