Football Game Preview: Ganado Hornets vs. Winslow Bulldogs + How To Watch

Ganado is 0-3 against Winslow since October of 2022 but things could change on Friday. The Hornets will take on the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Ganado's defense has only allowed 14.6 points per game this season, so Winslow's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Ganado took a loss when they played away from home on October 3rd, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed last Friday. They blew past Window Rock 28-8. Considering the Hornets have won four matchups by more than 19 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Ganado found their leader in sophomore Jeronen Nargo, who forced one fumble and made 14 total tackles (1.0 for loss).

Ganado didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Tyre Nichols. Ganado received some extra help from Nichols, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 46 points the game before, Winslow was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They were beaten by Page 45-6. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Sand Devils recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Ganado's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 36.6 points over those games. As for Winslow, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

Ganado took a serious blow against Winslow when the teams last played back in September of 2024, falling 49-6. Can the Hornets avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
