Basketball Recap: South Panola Takes a Loss

South Panola lost against Saltillo back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The South Panola Tigers fell 68-56 to the Saltillo Tigers. While losing is never fun, South Panola can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 165th, while Saltillo is ranked 42nd).

South Panola's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Saltillo, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-4.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Olive Branch the next time they take the court. Saltillo will head out to face Olive Branch at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, while South Panola will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on January 17th.
