Football Recap: Rokeeb Okunnu's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Fort Bend Bush over Fort Bend Travis + How To Watch

Fort Bend Bush lost against Fort Bend Travis back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Broncos lost 55-29 to the Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Broncos can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 429th, while the Tigers are ranked 160th).

Fort Bend Bush's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rokeeb Okunnu, who picked up 118 receiving yards and one score. Okunnu got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 80 yards. Another player making a difference was Jamir Young, who rushed for 74 yards and one TD.

Fort Bend Bush has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Fort Bend Travis, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

Fort Bend Bush has already played their next game, a 76-71 victory against Fort Bend Austin on the 31st. As for Fort Bend Travis, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 55-0 win against Fort Bend Dulles on the 1st.
