Volleyball Recap: Coahulla Creek's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak at Home + How To Watch

Coahulla Creek lost against Darlington back in September of 2018, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Colts took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Darlington scored at least 17 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-17.

Alyce Norton paced Coahulla Creek's offense, picking up seven kills. Norton got some help from Maddy Hambright and her nine assists. Norton also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Abby Triplett, racking up three apiece.

Coahulla Creek's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-4. As for Darlington, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.

Coming up, Coahulla Creek will challenge Oakwood Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Darlington, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Parkview on the 16th.
