Baseball Recap: Joppatowne Comes Up Short

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Joppatowne's offense. They lost 25-0 to the Perryville Panthers on Wednesday. The Mariners were not able to make up for their defeat to the Panthers from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Joppatowne saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Anthony Harris, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles.

Joppatowne dropped their record down to 1-2 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Perryville, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-1.

While Joppatowne had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
