Baseball Recap: Floyd Central Comes Up Short

Floyd Central lost to Paintsville back in April and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Jaguars came up short against the Tigers, falling 11-1. The Jaguars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Floyd Central saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luke Gibson, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one double. Another was Mason Anderson, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Floyd Central's loss dropped their record down to 11-13. As for Paintsville, they pushed their record up to 14-11 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, Floyd Central will square off against Jackson County at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Paintsville, they are taking a road trip to take on Knott County Central at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
