Volleyball Game Preview: Notus Pirates vs. Victory Charter Vipers

Notus hasn't had much luck against Victory Charter recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Pirates will face off against the Vipers at 10:00 a.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Notus came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Liberty Charter, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-18, 25-14.

Meanwhile, Victory Charter didn't have quite enough to beat Idaho City on Thursday and fell 3-2. The Vipers haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Victory Charter sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-22, 18-25, 25-14, 19-25, 15-12.

Notus' loss dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Victory Charter, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-16.

Notus couldn't quite get it done against Victory Charter in their previous matchup back in September as they fell 3-1. Can the Pirates avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
