Volleyball Recap: Bay Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Bay took on DeSoto Central on Friday. The Tigers fell 2-0 to the Jaguars.

While Bay was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-22.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead DeSoto Central to victory, but perhaps none more so than Marlee Mueller, who had seven digs and three aces. That's the most aces Mueller has posted since back in September of 2024. Another player making a difference was Lydia Harrison, who had seven assists and three aces.

Bay's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for DeSoto Central, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coincidentally, Bay and DeSoto Central will both be playing Lanier the next time they take the court. The Jaguars will head out to face the Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Tigers will play them later in the day, at 7:30 p.m.
